Your bio is the first thing people read. It needs to say who you are, what you do, and what they should do next.

The Formula

  • Line 1: Who you are / What you do. (e.g., "Digital Artist" or "Vegan Chef")
  • Line 2: Social Proof / Authority. (e.g., "Helping 50k+ people cook better")
  • Line 3: Personal touch / Interest. (e.g., "Coffee addict ☕")
  • Line 4: CTA (Call to Action). (e.g., "👇 Get my free recipe book")

Use Keywords in Your Name

The "Name" field (not username) is searchable. Instead of just "Jane Doe," use "Jane Doe | SEO Expert." This helps you show up in search results.

Link in Bio

Don't just link to your homepage. Link to a specific landing page or use a link tree tool to offer multiple options.

Examples

  • The Minimalist: "Designer. NYC. 🔗 Portfolio below."
  • The Emoji Lover: "📸 Photo tips | 🌎 Travel | 🍕 Pizza lover | 👇 Work with me"

Keep experimenting until you find a combination that converts visitors into followers.
