On X (formerly Twitter), your profile is your sales funnel. People see a tweet, click your handle, and decide whether to follow or buy based on your profile page.

1. The Header Image: Your Billboard

Your header (1500x500px) is prime real estate. Don't waste it on a generic landscape.

  • Show social proof: "Featured in Forbes, TechCrunch..."
  • State your value prop: "I help SaaS founders scale to $1M." Pair this with Twitter Threads Best Practices for maximum impact.
  • Promote a lead magnet: "Arrow pointing down to a free course."

Warning: The profile picture covers the bottom left corner of the header. Keep that area clear! See our guide on using mockups effectively to visualize this.

2. The Bio: Your Elevator Pitch

You have limited characters. Use the formula: [Who I help] + [How I help them] + [Social Proof] + [CTA].

3. The Pinned Post

This is your "Start Here" sign. It should be your best thread, your origin story, or a direct offer. A strong pinned post can generate leads for months on autopilot.

Test Your Content: Before you pin a tweet, ensure it looks perfect. Use our X Post Simulator to preview line breaks and image attachments.

4. Profile Picture

Use a high-quality headshot with a solid color background. Faces build trust. Logos are fine for big brands, but personal brands need faces.

Optimizing these four elements creates a "conversion loop" that turns casual scrollers into loyal followers.
